    Vista / Ubuntu Plugin

    Hello everyone!
I have an Acer 5510, with Vista over that I have not installed relocated since the purchase (one year as what it is not as the brothel it!) So I install it and ubuntu skips vista!!! !
I read on the net that it is better vista => stupid thing I do now but the "grub" recognizes a boot XP Pro that does not work and displays:

Windows could not start because of a problem hardware configuration of a computer disk.
Can not read from selected boot disk
What do you think for the solution, thank you in advance

Did you installed Vista on a first partition and you installed Ubuntu on another partition (+ creation of partition and swap). Grub configures itself alone.

Install, reinstall, it's Redmond-style, like that.
    Solutions:
    • Reviewing the configuration file for GRUB, an error there may be swiped.
    • By definition, it is Windows that is not unique [spoiler] Gambit Ask to have a contrary view [spoiler]. We must clean the side of Windows: fixboot, fixmbr, etc.. The conventional way. Then go back to Linux, and reinstall Grub. No need to reinstall all, we must have to prepare without GRUB boot (Live-CD, floppy disk, USB key, etc.).
    • Use another boot loader.
    • The big trick is also to install the charger (GRUB, LILO) at the beginning of the partoche Linux, and not in the MBR.
