disable ZoneAlarm update popup

I am facing with a problem with ZoneAlarm getting pop up to update for new version of 100.250.000. As I don’t want to update as once when I had updated it my machine started performing very slow so I again installed the older version 9.3 and my machine is working properly. But this update pop up is irritating me as it popup almost every half an hour. So can anyone let me know how to stop this?

I don’t think it is possible but have you turned off the product update check. As if you have not turned it off then it will continue giving you the popup so to stop it you need to turn it off. Which can help you out.

Go to C:\WINDOWS\ZoneLabs\ZoneAlarm (or in the path where you have decided to install the software); Find the file "zlclient.exe" right click and let him now choose Properties now go to the Compatibility tab and check the item below "Run as administrator". Then click OK. Close Zone Alarm in the taskbar at the bottom right clicks and chooses "Shutdown ZoneAlarm". Back from the client in question and then you double click to run it zlclient.exe: If you get the UAC prompt - "User Account" click on YES. From the popup that appears click on "No Thanks" (note the same popup that appears on every reboot). Now go back to zlclient.exe file properties and uncheck the "Run as administrator" (with this set, the client will no longer run at startup).

The steps of:
- Stop manually ZA
- In Windows Start menu, go to ZA, click on the RIGHT
- Click on the shortcut menu "Properties"
- Tab "Compatibility"
- "Run as administrator" with "permission level" hooks before
- "Apply" windows open
- Then start ZA manually from Start menu
- At the start screen ZA "No thanks!" Button (the hard)
finally, the outstanding properties window "Run this program as administrator" de-activate again
