Got Firefox Plugin named npFFApi 1.0.1.0 with the ZoneAlarm Free Firewall 10.1.065.000 installation

I was making the ZoneAlarm Free Firewall 10.1.065.000 installation today and after the installation was finished I had removed the Anti-Pishing as there were possibilities that it might be interfering with the other security programs that I am having, other than this for now I have also deactivated the Firefox ExtensionZoneAlarm Security Engine 1.5.350.0 as I don’t find it of use for now but then the problem that I am having is that I have found a Firefox Plugin named npFFApi 1.0.1.0 in Firefox 8, I had not installed it from anywhere and it appears as if it has got installed with the ZA Firewall installation, so I just wanted to know if there is anyone else having the same or it is just some issue in my case???

I think that you should better check out the Checkpoint/Forcefield files and see if you are able to trace out the source of it, if you find it then just delete the same and also make a recheck to find out if it is re-invented or not, just try it out and then let me know if It is helping.

I am having it in my case as well, I mean the Application Extension (npFFApi.dll ) which is in C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\ZAForceField\TrustChecker\bin is part of ZoneAlarm version: 10.1.065.000. And I am also getting it as Plugins npFFApi 1.0.0.1. In Firefox 8.0.1, I think that it might have been added in the current version 10.1.065.000.

Yes even I think that it is some kind of addition to the current version, I had not noticed it before but then now I have checked it out and have found the same plug-in, in my case I am the following:
    • Windows XP SP3
    • Firefox 8.0.1
    • ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version: 10.1.065.000.
