cisco wireless IP phone 7295 disables by itself

From last few days I am finding some unusual issues going on with our wireless 7295. Whenever I go out of my place and cross a bridge near our house the NIC(Network Interface Card) automatically gets disconnects by itself. I don’t have any idea about this problem as the only thing I can do during this period is on my phone is navigate through the menus. I can’t even make my phone go into site survey mode.

I would definitely love to help you. But before that I would suggest you to elaborate your problem. I mean I would like to know about the WiMS controller running across the street or the place where you find your wireless signal weak. This would definitely help me to explain you your problem and also you will surely get a solution. Waiting for your information.

Thank you very much for the kind advice, I would definitely let you know about everything I know related to the WiSM controllers. There is a street alongside a road which has 3502i’s and 1242’s sitting on WiSM controller running 7.0.116.0. Just to cross the building in order to reach the other building I always go outside and cross the bridge and there across the street I have 1242’s running on a WiSM running 4.2.207.0. As I told before the only thing I can do when my wireless gets disconnect is navigate through the menus. Hope this information will help you to get me a solution.

As according to my view point I believe that you lose your network coverage at the street point which in turn results in locking the radios on your phone. In order to make your phone active I would suggest you to reboot the phone. This will make your wireless connect again but the negative point is that you need to do it again and again as many time as your wireless losses connection.

There may be certain possibilities for your problem. Receiving of an invalid 5 GHz restricts your phone from reconnecting. An appropriate solution for this is to set your phone to 802.11b/g mode. Doubtful whether it is suitable for your environment or not but when you are outdoors you can use 2.5 GHz.

Instead of getting into the dept of networking and sorting out your problem I would tell you to contact your engineer and let them know your problem. You must be having a tac case. Open your tac case and forward the information about your problem to the engineer. They will help you with an appropriate solution.

I don’t have much knowledge about networking but since I faced the same problem some 1 month ago I was suggested with the following solution.
They told me to try out the following firmware.

    1.3.3
    1.3.4
    1.4.1.1.1.7
    1.4.2
