Unable to connect internet using Wi-Fi in Google TV

Well recently I have purchased a brand new Sony Google TV for myself. I connect wifi, I browse web and record videos. Currently I am enjoying my Sony Google TV very much. But from few days I am not able to access internet using wifi. My wifi is connected and there is the signal for that but when I try to connect the internet I mean when I try to enter the password it stays on the same page without moving and its written connecting to internet. Please give me some suggestions. What do I do?

If you are connected as you said but have no internet access then it usually means that either you didn't get an IP address from the wifi access point or router. It means that either they don't want you to access the internet or your Google TV is not configured correctly. Make sure that the connections are proper. Install the latest firmware for the router and try again. I hope installing this would change things.

Make sure your IP address condig is set to DHCP and just confirm your wireless network interface is getting an address by opening a command prompt and typing "ipconfig /all". I think this will help but if it doesn’t then try to switch and unplug all connections. Now plug in all connections back, restart Google TV and try to access the internet. Have you made any change in the network settings or changed the Wifi settings. If yes then change it and then try.

Check whether the wifi card is properly installed or not. Check your connection properties. It should be configured to obtain an IP address automatically. Try to reset the modem. Resetting the modem would work hopefully. I have had the same problem with me but it was not Google TV but still as it the wifi I think it could be the modem issue. Many a times resetting the modem works.

Well I would ask you to reset the Google TV device by holding alt+cntrl+delete. After resetting the TV try to connect the wifi. Hope the signal is coming like before. Try to connect the internet by going to any webpage. If the error connecting to page only comes then you need try something else. I would also ask you to put this issue in various forums. You would certainly find a solution very early.

Well I don’t think alt+cntrl+delete would help as it would only boot your Google TV. I think to reset you need to press FN+1 at the same time to bring up settings and scroll down to the bottom and choose about - and choose factory data reset to reset the TV to factory defaults. If you still have problems regarding internet then I would say you call up your internet provider to change few settings and help you out. I hope my suggestions are useful to you.
