Online protection disable automatically in Avira 10.2

I have a dell dimension desktop, in that I am running windows 7 and for avoiding it from affecting the viruses I have installed avira antivirus software, but it can just scan the local drive only, I mean to say that it cannot protect the machine from the outside such as internet, in fact the online protection is been disabled automatically, and I have tried a lot to enable it but after some time it again get disable. Any idea why this is happening.

Yeah this might be because of the Virus only, see it’s not always secure though you use the antivirus software in your machine, because they didn’t assure us that the machine would be completely secure, so make sure that you have a updated copy of the antivirus software. Because if you just run the software with the older database it would be next to worthless. So first of all try to update the software and then see whether this is happening or not.

See we need to select the custom option for enabling the online protection, and after that save it without failure or else all the changes would be void. I was also having the same problem when I was also doing the same thing as you, so after saving the changes I was able to use the software for online security as well. But that’s also important as you should always have a update of the software as the above user mentioned.

I was also having the similar problem after installing the latest update of the software, so if you have installed any such updates for your software, I would suggest you that you need to uninstall them first and then only you can enable the online service in your PC. I think the latest update has some bugs with the online protection and that’s why this is happening.

I think the program might have been corrupted in your machine so first of all make sure that the software is functioning perfectly and if suppose you find any threat in that you can have a option to reinstall it in your machine, because reinstalling the software would fix the missing and the corrupted files from the database and off course you can enable the online protection as well. I have done the same thing when I was having the same problem.

See there are multiple products provided by the Avira itself, so make sure that the software that you have has the rights to enable that protection, because when we download the trial copy all the functions works perfectly but after some time we need to pay for it otherwise the option would be disable automatically, and I think this is what happening with you, so rather you should have a option to purchase the software or you can download another software.

I am agree with the above user as you should check whether the time period given to you is exceeded or what, and if yes the you need to buy the product with no other option, but you can check out another software as well, but let me tell you that as they are also the trial version you need to buy the as well after sometime. So it better to continue with the one that you have, because purchasing another one would charge you more than buying the updates of the existing one.
