As per my knowledge the USB 3.0 is not available in the wireless routers yet. A regular external HDD is to be able to do the same kind of task. Even this type of connection is to be cheaper and hence I think you need such kind of connection. The common external hard disk which is connect with the computer system using the USB cable is also capable to connect on the wireless router. This is the best and I hope you understand why this is best.

I read article related to this and I understand that Belkin Play Max Wireless Router is capable to do this task. This router is an iwlress and it will be provide the facility like the compact, supports true dual-band, Gigabit Ethernet, guest networking, network storage, and USB printers. As per it mention we can use the USB printer as a USB port. If this is compatible then you can able to connect it with any type of USB compatible devices. Hence this will be good and it also provides fast wireless performance. The bad thing of this is that this is containing the USB-related features which is to be put together fewer appealing than other option.

TRENDnet's Wireless-N router makes use of coexisting Dual Band Technology and it also capable to sending two distinct wireless networks at a time. This will be happen in this router using the radio frequencies of 2.4GHz and 5GHz. This will be contain USB that help to connect flash drives, external HDDs, and printers directly to the router using the USB connector. Hence if want such router then buy this and get experience.

I was hoping the wireless N routers that contain standard, are provide such kind of port connection. When I look specification then the wireless N router hardware is a 4 or 8 ports. The WAN connections will be help to do this kind of connection. This is one of the best thing in this connection and I am sure few of the wireless router will be provide such things. Then check the specification of several router and then buy any good.

If you want to hook up an external disk directly on your wifi router, then you need the special router to do this task. I also think that there are lot of wireless router will be present. This will be provide the way to connect any kind of USB compatible hardware devices to the wireless router. This is the best thing in router and most of the people will be require such kind of facility. Then select any good specification based router and this will be help to do such task.
