I am getting high ping

I have been recently facing troubleshoot with by Broadband. My uploading and downloading speed is 128KBytes/s and 319KBytes/s which I feel is OK. But my problem is with the Ping. It seems to be acting weird. Its average is touching 342ms, I mean 342ms ping to google.com. I have never heard of this before. Please provide necessary help.

First you have to perform the TCP Analyzer report as its one the most important part. Just compare your report with the below report. If it matches then it ok else your troubleshoot is really weird. After performing the TCP Analyzer report follow with the speedtest.

According to me I think this problem is not because of you or your TCP optimizer. Your TCP settings are correct and for more information I would like to let you know that TCP optimizer does not affect the ping I mean its setting does not cause change top ping average. The reason of this high pings is from Google's end. Maybe your pings times to Yahoo USA is within normal range as it should be. That is from 180-200ms all the way from South East Asia.

You still facing the same problem then I would like to tell you that its fine until your upload or download speed is same and proper as it was usually. If you notice or experience decrement in their speed then it is a problem which needs to be solved soon. The reason behind this is due to spyware in your computer. You have to solve this by scanning with SpyBot and AD-Aware 2007. Also follow performing Clean registry with CCleaner.

Another big reason for high ping I think is that video lag, spyware, worms, sound lag etc cause it. They are the main reason for high ping. Its not from google , its occurs from our side. Just keep In mind that high ping is not just due to the bad internet connection. This high ping will troubleshoot you mainly during playing games online and while playing on server.

Please try testing your ping with a local site and see if it is within a normal(<50ms) range. If so, then the problem is likely not local but abroad. check speedguide for analysis.
