Every BitDefender Updates reset my settings and options

I am using Windows 7 & and windows Vista operating system in my assembled Computer and some days before I have installed BitDefender security in my both operating system. Now after that my system has started giving me some problems. Now whenever I update my antivirus and after that when I restart the computer at that time it will change my all the setting in antivirus and some setting in my browser. Like before update Search Advisor and Antiphishing was turned off but after update it turned on automatically. Now please tell me what should I do to fix this?

According to me you have to turn off the automatic updates in your system and after that do all the setting on again. Now after every one week you have to update the BitDefender manually and after that check whether same problem is coming or not? you can do manual update by downloading the updated virus definition files from the official site and after that you can update the BitDefender. I think after that it will not affect your setting. I hope this solution will fix the issue.

If you are not able to solve the problem by doing the manual updates then I think there might be some virus in your system and I will suggest you to perform the full system scan in your computer and after that check whether it is detecting any viruses or not? I think it will detect the virus and remove it from your system. After removing the virus update your bit defender and then check whether same problem is coming or not? I think after you will not get any issue.

As far as I know reinstalling the antivirus will solve your issue. I have also faced this kind of problem in my system and after that I have uninstalled the antivirus completely and then removed all the temporary files from my computer and after that I restart the system and then I installed the antivirus again in my system. After reinstalling the antivirus I didn’t get any problem with my settings. I think you should also try this trick to solve your problem.

As you have said in your post that reinstalling the antivirus will fix the solution and after reading that I have tried to solve the problem by reinstalling the antivirus but after that also I was facing the same issue. I have turned off the automatic updates and after that updated the antivirus manually but after doing manual update it is not saving my setting. Now I don’t know what to do with this problem. If anyone has any more solution then please help me with it.

First of all uninstall the BitDefender from you system and after that insert the bootable scanner disk in your CD ROM and then restart the computer. After restarting the computer start the full system scan from the bootable scanner and then it will remove all the viruses from your system. After doing that start the computer and after that install the antivirus again. I think after that your antivirus will not give you any issues. As you have said in your post I have downloaded the virus definition update from its officials site and after that I have installed it in my system to compelled the manual update of Bitdefender but after doing the manual update also same problem was coming and after that I have tried to fix this problem by scanning my computer with the help of bootable scanner disk. After scanning with bootable scanner I am not getting any issues with my settings. Thank you so much for helping me and giving me this solution.
