It might be an issue that your version by means of the looks of it you contain a full trial version so as to is about to expire, it's a case of paying up or going and downloading the free version. Bear in mind the free version does NOT have a firewall so I prefer you that you could buy the AVG internet security as you would be fully protected it contains all the things including the firewall, e-mail scanner and other or the other option might be you can use some other trial version to stay protected as your AVG is going to expire.

A number of AVG user reported out of the ordinary crash after a recent update. The AVG developers prepared a fix which will be released very soon as per my knowledge. There might be a problem with the browsing because of internet errors. You may for the time being disable the AVG Surf Shield add-on and confirm whether the difficulty is resolved
For doing it you will have to follow the steps:
First you will have to press the Windows logo key and R. then Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK. Now Click the Programs tab. And at the click Manage add-ons button and choose AVG Safe Search add-on and tick the Disable button to disable it

Re: Why did AVG free update got converted to trial version

I use AVG Anti-Virus Free edition in my Computer, few days back I uninstalled AVG Anti-Virus Free edition, today I decided to get back to AVG Free edition I was actually concerned ought to is there any need to uninstall AVG Trial and once more reinstall AVG free other than that’s not case we be able to downgrade from AVG Trial to AVG free with no uninstall of AVG Trail
You just have to follow the stepladder:
First you have to Go to Start>Control Panel> add or remove programs into Windows XP and select AVG trial version and click remove
after that AVG uninstall wizard will ask you can convert full installation to AVG free if you hope , click Convert to AVG free and that’s it through in second you get Convert to AVG Free dialog box saying “conversion was successful
This way you have free license of AVG free anti-virus protection installed in your computer without uninstallation

You should know that AVG Free Edition online installer allows whichever installation of AVG Free Edition or AVG Internet Security trial version (usage is restricted to 30 days). Users from time to time install the AVG Internet Security trial version and are stunned by the 30-day license limits. After the trial period is ended, user can easily downgrade to AVG Free Edition if not engrossed in the Internet Security package. The installation choice can be chosen on the AVG installation wizard window

I also had somewhat similar problem I downloaded and installed the free version 9 of AVG But then I had to uninstall it a week later because of the common problems saying that I have only 30 days left on my trial version. as a result I used that, doing a custom install to avoid the problem components. I did not know that it is a free trial as a substitute of free version.
