What are DHCP and PDC Server

I would like to know that I am new to networking. Also I would say that I have few PC here and I can play around. What I need to know is that have I have already installed a 2003 server but not configured the roles of it. Along with that the PDC will only authenticate users but not authorized and a DHCP server assigns IP. Also I would like to know the actual difference between the DHCP and PDC Server or you might say that what are the DHCP and PDC Server. Please do get back to me on this as I am waiting for the solutions.

I would tell you that this is really a very good question that you have put up and feel that a PDC is the one that provides you with the authentication. And along with that it also provides you with the access to domain resources .So this is what it does and you need to remember as well. Also I would say that a PDC is the one that should not be modified at all and it has to be used as it is. So this is what the PDC is all about.

According to me what I would say that you should never use a DHCP to get an IP address and this is something that you need to remember a lot.Actually this is very important factor which you need to remember. Also I would say that instead you would assign a static IP address to a PDC. This is what I would say about these thing and feel that that is the best way to go forward. And also remember that a client authenticates from the PDC as well.

According to me I would say that there are plenty of articles that are present and that would really be very useful to you. Also what I would say that there are different ways to describing how to set a static IP and that is the one which is very important. Also along with that you need to know on any version of Windows. Also I would say that you should a try and find the answers yourself first before asking. And once you get them then do get back to me immediately.
