Netgear WGR614 not working with Cisco VPN client

I am unable to map network drives or make use of an intranet or remote desktop for resources after my company's firewall which is via Cisco VPN Client 4.6.04.0043along with the Netgear WGR614v6 wireless router. VPN connection is workings if I circumvent the router and connect straight to DSL modem. I have checked the "respond to ping on internet port" and port is accurate but still it is not working. Can somebody advise a bit else for this router other than what we previously know which seems like this VPN client and router combination are incompatible.

I had the same trouble without really understanding why. If you want to connect to your Store via the web interface, slaps its IP address in the Address bar:

    • Example: 192.168.1.2/

and you should be able to go inside. If you want access to the file in your browser rather than through their agent in the nuts, go directly through Windows file sharing. Put simply two backslashes followed by the IP of your awning in the address bar of your browser.

I can not help you much, but just in case. When you're connected via the above network, you had the pop-up or you must return your ID (the first time, after he asked for more until the next reboot)? In the configuration of the NAS itself, in the entry server administration, you've got a topic network share. Sharing is allowed? in which working group? Your pc on Windows is it in the same workgroup?

To tie up and cut off a network drive in Microsoft Windows XP, you must use one of the four methods. You can assign a drive letter to some shared resource on a network. This action allows you to quickly and easily access resources through the user interface of Windows XP or a command prompt. For every mapped drive, an icon displays in My Computer and a list in the left pane of Windows Explorer.

Go to the Start button and then click on My Network Places then Entire network and double-click the Microsoft Windows Network. Double click on the field to open it. Double click the computer you want to assign the share. All shares for that computer are automatically displayed in the window. Click the right mouse button on the shared drive or folder you want to assign, then click the network drive. Click the drive letter you want, then indicate whether you want to reconnect with each logon. Make a note of Network drives mapped by via letters starting with Z. This is the letter assigned by default to the first album you create. However, you can select another letter if you want to use another of Z. Click Finish. A window opens and displays the contents of their allocated resources.

For connecting with a drive from My Computer, go to the Start and open My Computer, and click on an Explore. On the Tools menu, click Map Network Drive. In the Drive box, click a drive letter. In the Folder box, type the UNC path to the server and share in the following format: \ \ server name \ share name. In one more way you can Browse to establish the computer and shared resource. You must be able to map shared drives and shared folders. When you get right to use a shared drive or folder, then you would be able to access subfolders if you really have the suitable permissions. However, you won’t be able to map a drive to a subfolder that is not explicitly configured as a shared resource.
