Computer hanged by Internet Security 2011

Friends, I am using the BitDefender Internet Security as this was recommended by my friends. Before that, I was using the AVG Free version and that was working fine. Since when I installed the BitDefender Internet Security then everytime when I start the computer then it hangs the whole system. I have many friends who are using the same antivirus and there is no problem in their case then why this is happening to me. I am having the Windows XP installed in my computer. Can you tell me that why this is happening to me and is there any way to resolve the issue. I have already tried many things to solve the issue but they are not able to solve the problem. If anyone can help me then this will be really helpful to me. Thank you so much in advance for reading and replying to this post.

As you told that you were using the AVG Free version earlier. So have you uninstalled that before installing the BitDefender Internet Security 2011? I am asking you this because, if you are having both the antivirus installed in your system at the same time then it may interfere the processing of each other and as a reason of this, the system may get hanged. This is not only for the AVG and BitDefender, if you are having any two antivirus running in your system at the same time then there are more chances that this will cause this result. If this is true in your case then you can just try to login in the safe mode and then try to remove one of them from your computer and then again login in the normal XP mode. I am sure that this will solve the problem for you if that is related to double antivirus install.

I think that the setup for BitDefender Internet Security which is installed in your computer may be corrupted and so that is showing the problems like this. If that is the problem in your case then you can try to uninstall that from your computer and again try to install that. The most excellent method to do that is to download the new setup from internet and install that to your computer. This will create all the new files for this and if the issue is because of the corrupted files then this will resolve the issue for you. I am not saying that this is definitely going to solve the problem but it is one of the most excellent ways to solve the problem.

It is also possible that the operating system installed in your computer may be corrupted and so that is getting hanged. So to resolve the problem just repair the system and that will solve the issue for you. Just take the bootable operating system and boot from that CD. When that prompts you for the type of installation then you will have to select “Repair” as Choice and press enter. This will look in your computer and will scan the computer for any kind of bug in that. If there is any file that is corrupted then this will replace that corrupted file with the new one and the problem can be resolved. I have seen many of the cases like this where repairing the system solves the problem and I hope that this will do the same for you

Repairing the system is the good option to solve the problem but if that is also not able to solve the issue then there is only one option that can help you and that option is to format the computer and install the operating system once again. But make this as the last option if none of the other options are helping you. Once you did then you will have to install the antivirus again in your system.
