Well looking at your problem , this type of problem is quite common this days. So the simplest solutions or suggestions that i can give you is to try updating the drivers for the modem that you are using. Upon that you can also try running in a safe mode and check if it is perfectly running there or not. If that also does not help , then i would advise you to run a networking troubleshooter. This particular application will help you in giving the cause of this problem. You might get your problem fixed there easily. So do have a look at all this suggestions and let me know if anything was useful.

I think so you must try disabling the IPV6 in the connection. In case if you are not knowing the exact steps to disable the IPV6, then so follow it i have given here below
    1) Firstly you have to go to the control panel and from there select the Network & Sharing Center.
    2) On the left hand side you will get he option of changing the adapter settings.
    3) You will have to select the connection that you are using and accordingly right click on it and select properties, networking tab.
    4) You will get the option of IPV6 option you just have to disable that option.
Having done that reboot the system and then see if there are nay changes.

I think the solution here would be to setup the connection again. Well you have to follow the steps that i am giving you right now and accordingly make the changes.
    1) First of all you have to make sure that your Ethernet cable is connected properly after that you will have to turn off the router as well as the modem. Do it for some time.
    2) After some time reconnect the power to the modem as well as the router.
    3) After that go to the command prompt and type the following command in the command prompt i.e. ipconfig /release.
    4) Once having done that type the command ipconfig /renew. Once you have done that check for the connectivity in the computer. You will probably get it done.
So have a look at this steps and tell me if it helps you or not.
