Remote Desktop 2.1 crashes while connecting to Windows 2000 server

The novel RDC 2.1 works well for Windows 2003 and over servers, but crashes and sends an error to Microsoft every time I try to connect to a Windows 2000 server. Unluckily, I still have a small number of those around. Is there a fix for this coming? Please provide some help. Because don’t have more idea about this. If anyone else has any more detail regarding this issue then also please provide.

I am also having this type of problem. It worked excellent with RDP 2.0 to connect to Windows 2000 machines. But it does not work in the novel Remote Desktop. So I also require few help about this. If possible then please help me to solve this. This is really important for me to know why this is occurring and what the easy solution is for this.

I will also revert to the old version, and I don't observe any novel features in 2.1 anyhow. With a bit of luck someone at Microsoft reads this and will fix the trouble. Possibly next time they will think about some testing earlier than a product release. So can’t say more about this and going to complete my discussion. If anyone gets more detail so share it.

I think you have to setup Terminal Services on a Windows 2000 server. It is not installed as part of the classic installation. Control Panel- Add/Remove Programs- Add Windows Components. Move down and ensure Terminal Services. You might be asked for your CD or the download file source. For the duration of the install, you as well have to choose the mode you wish Terminal Services to run in. In this case it sounds like you require Administrator mode. Hope this helps.
