Hi all, I have bought a new laptop. I have installed Windows Vista in that. I am having dial-up connection. I was not having any antivirus installed in my computer. Therefore, I have downloaded the AVG antivirus from my friend’s cable connection. I bought that to my computer using my flash drive. Size for that file is 892 KB. When I tried to install that then it was not able to install it. Is there anything else that I need to do while downloading the setup? Please help.

Many of the file the file gets corrupted while downloading. So it is possible that the setup which you have downloaded is corrupted and that is why you are getting problem in installing that. My suggestion to you is to download the setup gain and try to install that. I am sure that this time it will install properly if it is due to bad installation of the setup.

As you told that the file that you have downloaded is of 892 KB. This is seems to be very small and I don’t think that this is the full setup. From where you have downloaded the setup? You should try to download the setup from AVG website. Click on the link below and this will redirect you to the page from where you will be able to select and download the setup.

I agree that you have to check whether you have downloaded the full installation file or not? If you are sure that you have complete installation and still l you are not able to install it then you should ensure that you have logged in as an administrator. Your system may not allow you to install any software if you are not the admin. So if that is the case then you have to log off and again login as an administrator and then try to install the antivirus. I hope this time you will install that properly.
