How to physically attach Linksys high gain antenna

I acquired two Linksys HGA7S high gain antennas to reinstate the standard ones on my Linksys WRT54G router. Even though I can take off the OEM aerials, I cannot figure out how to attach the substitutions. The concluding connector on the fresh one is the similar size as the corresponding one on the router so one does not fit into the other. Otherwise the whole thing else appears the similar. Can anyone know about this or can anyone help me to sort out this? Thinking this would be easy; only don't wish to break anything.

Re: How to physically attach Linksys high gain antenna

I am getting a pitiable signal in home where I has my laptop for make use of. The laptop is latest Dell brand and. Using Linksys Router with Speed Booster upstairs with desktop. Should I attempt a Linksys Range Extender that I read is solid to organize and maybe there are improved resolution. There is no where to place one more access point since nowhere else to run wires with no bolting up drywall and such. No loft or crawlspace. Do High increase aerials from Linksys or Hawking work? Please suggest something which is useful and which solve my problem. And I move further for my work.

A superior increase antenna will make the signal stronger, and as well increases the received signal kindliness. The simply method to inform actually is to endeavor it and observe. I have just read notes which the superior increase links did not assist certain people, but every circumstance is dissimilar. Aerial orientation helps as well, excavation point straight down because I found I get improved coverage in the cellar. In laptops with no antennas in the video lid it’s occasionally improved to put the antennas horizontally. The variety extenders work although they will slash the throughput about 50 percent and are actually not that hard to configure. Additional alternatives are to get a USB kind adapter like a Linksys to use on laptop in the house.

The emission prototype from a normal rubber ducky aerial is like a donut. The aerial should be pointed so that it is broadside to the intended target. There would be a few slant wanted to fire downstairs. You can as well insert free reflectors to the Access Point which can give 10dBi or additional increase. If the laptop works at all in the at hand case, a reflector should make it work pretty fine.
