How to use Router as a Wireless Access Card for Desktop?

Hi, I am having the internet in to my main room and I am trying to split my internet to the next room. I am easily getting the next room signal with the Laptop and with the wireless card if I sit near to the window. How can I use my router as a wireless Access card for my desktop? Is there any way to use the router as a wireless card? I am using the Linksys router which is capable of bridge mode. i want to know how to connect it?

Yes you can make use of the wireless network to share the internet access, files, printers, and many more. You can also install the third party firmware that will help you to do that. You can make use of it to surf the web pages anywhere in your room. And it is very easy to install. First select your wireless equipment. Select the equipment that supports the three different wireless networking technologies that is : 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g. I will recommend you to have the 802.11g because it has the very good performance and it is very compatible with everything. Have the wireless router because it converts the signals coming from the internet connection in to the wireless broad cast. Keep in mind have the wireless router not the wireless access point. now connect the wireless router to the desktop or your laptop.

Also have the wireless Network adapter; network adapter wirelessly connects your system to your wireless router. If you are using the latest computers, it already has the built in wireless capabilities. If it have to your system then there is no need to buy the wireless network adapter. If you still need to have the adapter for the desktop computer, have the USB wireless network adapter. Also make sure that every computer in to your network have one adapter. Now connect the wireless router to your modem. Your modem should be connected directly to the internet. Your computer will automatically connect wirelessly to your router. The router will send communications through your modem to the Internet.

To make the easy setup, select the network adapter which is assembled by the same vendor that made your wireless router. If you have the good price on the Linksys router then select the Linksys network adapter. Also you should have the USB port to plug the wireless network adapter in to it. If you not having the USB port then have the Hub to add the additional ports. If you now have the computer which is now connected directly to your modem then unplug the network cable from the computer. And plug that in to your port labeled internet, WAN on back of your router. Also configure the wireless router. With the help of network cable that came with your wireless router, temporarily connect the computer to one of the open network ports on to your wireless router. After each configuration setting, be sure to click Save Settings, Apply, or OK to save your changes. And Connect your computers to the wireless network

There is one way of trying, when we turn internet connection sharing on to the wireless card in your PC. It will then allocate IP address with the help of DHCP. Then turn DHCP off in the netgear but make sure that it has the IP addresses in the same subnet as your network. If you plug the system in to the switch side of the wireless router then it should be able to request an IP address and the wireless card on your PC will respond with the correct gateway. It works with wireless routers until and unless there is some rule blocking traffic between the switch and the wireless side.
