Setting Up A Server Connection Between Windows And Apple Macbook

I have been planning to this thing for a long time and now this dream of mine can be brought to success as I am getting my new Apple Macbook Air. My wife is having a old Macbook and also I have three main computers which are running at my home that is comprising of one computer, one media server and one HTPC. But my main aim is to set up a server with the use of WHS, and use one of my PC's for the set-up of the Server so that I can share some of my files. I want to share the files between the two Macbooks and also with the computers that are connected as the main server. I am planning to use the FTP and the VPN services for sharing and the transferring of the Files. Please suggest me that how can I do this set-up and with all the possible ways of doing it.

You can see that the Windows operating system is having a option of SMB called the server message block that can be used for the access built in set-up. In that you got to go to the option of the finder menu with the command k-type and then you have to type smb://<name or ip of server>/<share name> . The Operating System X will then mount and then it can be shared as a network drive. After all this you got to provide that the related permissions and see whether it is correct and see that they are being assigned to the peoples who are using it and then see the proper logins and after that issue a sharing file for it.

After the above steps you will require an external IP which is easy enough with the DNS settings and see that how many people’s are getting the access in this. The open access is very dangerous that is without VPN. It happens when you keep open the FTP the password is being hacked through it. Then also the setting up of the VPN would be the best of option for you.

Then you can make a try with the setting up of the a firewall in front of all the equipment that you are using, I would like to suggest to you to use the Astaro and also can use the Untangle, and after it you got to set-up the connection for the VPN and then the set-up is complete. And sure it will work properly. After that you have your own VPN. Surfing through your home firewall can be done by setting up the VPN.

You can also see that the suggestions that the most of them are used for the SSL VPN that is known to work for over the port 443 and it wont work unless the https are desribed for the desired VPN. I have seen that most of the peoples are using the OpenVPN setup and then they are directly using it to the system that can be used for the Home. But yet I have not able to find that the VPN didn't work.

The DNS account setting may help to scan the ports and find out the brut force that are attacking it. Setting up the VPN is so easy now a-days that you don't have to shell out more for it and even if your trying to to put the untangle and then install it in your setup file system. Opening the VPN is better then changing the port and filling it some other details. And also the Untangle is very cheap, and easily available for the setup, and easy to manage, and also provide more security for it.Then you got to install the untangle or astaro, and keep a watch on to the logs that are made by you.
