World at War disconnectes the internet connection

I have a desktop system with GB RAM , AMD Turion @3.0Ghz processor , ASUS motherboard and 1024 GB of hard drive. I am a game freak and I I love to play World at War. Usually I play it alone at my house but the game becomes much more lively when you play it online with your mates . But as soon as I join the the group my internet connection goes down and the game halts it between. My friends play it everyday, I too want to play it on the LAN .It is really annoying, please help me to sort this one out.

First of all exit the game and check whether the connection is there or not. Restart the system again, connect to the internet and then start the game. I think you were not following the correct procedure . If you switch on the modem after you start the game then it is not going to work , first switch the router on then start the game. If still it does not work then I think there is a bug in the game . Ask all your friends who play online about the LAN settings they have set in their game settings. You can also change accordingly and give it a try.

Many people are typing the same issue in the forum , I do not know whether it is considered as a problem or a bug in the system. You can check this yourself. Do You have any other game, which you can play online too. Consider counter strike, you can ask your friend to do the same. you can create a group in the LAN in which anyone of you can be the server. Create a list and ask your friends if they could see the list and connect it. If the connection establishes successfully then there is no issue with the network but the game itself. So it would be better if you can buy the original copy if you have a pirated copy of the game installed in your system.

Yes you are absolutely correct the game has a bug and is acknowledged only when tried to play it via network , check if it fetches the statistics and connects automatically. While it is connecting there is a chance that it may create latency by a big amount. It will gradually slow down your net speed and once you exit the game your internet will not connect again. I think you should uninstall the game if you want your internet connection up and running.
