Not able to see network machines after windows 7 update

I am having network of 4 computers including the main computer but recently I have updated the operating system in my main computer to windows 7 64 bit. After the updating the operating system my main machine and other machines are not able to see each other in the network. When I move to the network center on my computer I am only able to observe my laptop below devices and also able to see both under Media Devices. But the problem is that my main computer is no longer identify my Ubuntu box with Ubuntu 10.04 which I was able to see before the update. Other than this the file transfer in the network has become very slow after update operating system to windows 7, so if anyone having solution for such problem with the network please provide with the solution.

There can be issue with the update which you are performing on your main machine. Let me tell you that you need to have the genuine Windows 7 operating system CD so that it will work perfectly with your system. Other than this the problem can be of windows 7 not able to perfectly work with your computer specification i.e. windows 7 is not compatible with your system because of this there can be network issue which creating such problem after which you are not able to see the networked machines.

I think going for the NIC drivers update for your main computer can be the best solution for your problem. I think after the NIC drive update your problem with network computer not seen by the main computer after update to windows 7 operating system will surely resolve. But before going for the update you need to know what network card you are currently using in your main computer.

I think the Solution provided in the above post of updating the NIC driver for the computer is not the exact solution for the problem which i am facing. I have tried to update my NIC driver for my main computer but still I was not able to get perfect solution, after update main computer was not able to see the ubuntu box with the Ubuntu 10.04. I was able to see the ubuntu box before machine got updated to windows 7. So if any other solution is there to resolve the network issue please let me know.
