IP Address Times out???!?!

Hi,

So I want to open my NAT. So, I go to portforwarding.com.. and awesome, my modem Is not on the list. I have a Motorola SBG6580... I figured this Is relevant to my problem..

But anyway...

I type me IP address Into my URL bar, and It times out everytime!!! I don't see any logical reason for It to do this. Unless I can fix this, I won't be able to ever open my NAT.

Also, I'm pretty bad with this kind of stuff... please help!!

Have you changed the firewall settings on the SBG6580 recently? Turned ON the firewall? I'm fairly sure turning off the firewall on the SBG6580 will drop it back to open NAT. Also, how about typing in your router's IP. You might have to add a port on your exceptions by going to Control Panel > Security Center > Window's File Wall > Exceptions Tab. If it is listed, then click on edit and you may have to make some changes, if it is not listed click on "Add Port" > Enter the information then press "OK".
