    Cisco VPN over AT&T 3g = Fail?

I have a ipad, and there is little time one of my clients has asked me to create a VPN tunnel him. So I put up the VPN between two routers ( IPSEC , IKE shared key ) everything goes well. The client wish to be able to connect from anywhere with his laptop and 3G card +. So I create a new VPN tunnel, but I have the impression that its 3G + SFR blocks this protocol. After trying various tests and no application does IPSEC router no information in LOG files instead of the router ! So for me the 3G + blocks this authentication. How to solve my problem ?

The VPN configuration works fine, however, requires knowledge of the shared secret ( Secret) . Everything is a bit cryptic , indeed we must put the name of the profile vpn in the " Group Name " . Configured so my vpn works fine. I have the right to use it at my university since it seems that I 'm connected to the vpn server is no longer accepting any other vpn connection . But I was assured that the problem was the server , not the ipad.

At the launch of the connection, the VPN Gateway contacts well . The application password is . Then, once entered, it hangs on " Negotiating Security policies ...". I affirm that the couple login / password is correct. In my workplace we have a LiveBox for VPN configuration and testing of the fleet of mobile sales representatives . So I made the connection tests with these codes. because once the bridge neufbox SFR , although I sync, the router is managing PPPoE authentication , I am the phone but I can not have TV when I was doing all this for three years with a trio of the 3D bridge builder.

For a VPN server behind such a box, you must put the box in bridge and have a router or a server vpn vpn front. Personally, I use SSL VPN that does not have this kind of worries related to uneven support IPSEC or PPTP from the box. The boxes are modem - routers Mass- customized by the ISP and usually not contractually provided to support connections to professional type ( what worked yesterday may not work tomorrow and vice versa due to a change in firmware). Cisco specifies that the ideal configuration requires a direct connection via Modem dsl / cable , so no router or router mode on the client side.

With your iPhone, you can connect to Internet via a VPN. VPN is very easy to configure on your iPhone that supports native protocols L2TP , PPTP and Cisco IPSec. You are advised to install a VPN on your iPhone for all your connections via WiFi or 3G ( L2TP for the latter) . Especially during a connection via WiFi hotspot or free restaurant or other ... or you could hack your data more easily.

If the client side there is nothing wrong with a few little problems with the App- V packages no more, it is not the same with the part about Cisco VPN for remote For now I don ' I found nothing better than keeping the connection to my business by hosting an image in VMware Workstation XP ; Obviously , the MS- CHAP MD5 / SHA according faitt Microsoft does not mix with Cisco products . If PPP and IKE Phase 1 appear to happen is the second part it goes bad. Even the Cisco VPN client.
