    What is avast Webproxy filter

I need a anti virus solution for Microsoft ISA Servers ( also works with MS Proxy Server 2.0 ). I found that avast! 4 ISA Server Edition monitors HTTP and FTP traffic in real time at the gateway server , reducing significantly the risk of contamination from the internet. avast! 4 ISA Server Edition integrates with ISA Servers by interface " ISAPI " from Microsoft. What is avast Webproxy filter. Any idea.?

The most important task of avast ! 4 ISA Server Edition is the real -time inspection of HTTP traffic . Due to its perfect integration with Microsoft ISA Server , all viruses from Web pages or downloads are detected and destroyed . It is the same for scripts and ActiveX objects or any other potential danger Particular attention was paid to how people are treated very large download to obtain effective controls without timeout at the client.

Avast! 4 ISA Server Edition filter FTP traffic thereby preventing viral contamination during downloads . Thanks to CERN HTTP Proxy protocol avast ! is able to handle all FTP traffic using the detection capabilities of its HTTP filtering module. avast! 4 ISA Server Edition is easily deplorable and works perfectly on database servers or the " cluster " (clusters ) of servers. The detection engine is optimized for multiprocessor servers , ensuring a high level of performance.

Avast! 4 ISA Server Edition can automatically update its virus database and program detection. The updates are incremental and very rapid. It is possible to ensure that the administrator is warned before the installation of a new upgrade. Most of the treated samples from sensors deployed within the community in modules Agent suspicious actions and anti - rootkit. This unique source of data is not available without imposing our user base . Most samples collected are analyzed by various automatic processes : only a few must be processed manually by our analysts.

Re: What is avast Webproxy filter

The answer is a bit complicated. since Version 4.8 , Avast integrates antispyware ( certified ) , a rootkit ( based on technology Gmer ) and some firewall functions ( highly targeted ) .Avast is close to paying these solutions ( Symantec , Kaspersky , ...) which are complete security solutions . Avast 4.8 Home Edition does not include a module identified as a firewall .It has what he calls shields :
    - Web : To filter HTTP traffic . It acts as a transparent proxy .
    - P2P He probably should analyze traffic dedicated to this need to the port, such traffic .
    - network : it is that it can be compared to a firewall. It controls the traffic (inbound only it seems ) .
This is a feature of a firewall : IDS (Intrusion Detection System ) .
    - for Mail.
