Unstable ping! It's so annyoing

Hi guys i am new here with huge problem. I get so unstable ping on every single game!Like halo= 133>134>133>167>200>300>245>133....And i lag (teleport from place to place), i never had that sh** before(sorry for the word, but i am trying to fix this, i looked all over the google, nothing, jsut found others problems, but i want part by part guide what to do. I contacted by ISP they said they cannot do nothing about it( i was like" I am gonna crush ther skull")
My internet is 256 kbps, all my drivers UP TO DATE.And my head is not up to date until this is fixed. So i came across this forum, it says techarena, let's see what you got.

But why are you using a hub for your internet. Do you really need it? If not then you can try out the direct connection from your ISP to your computer. If, however, you are sharing your internet connection with someone, then you need a switch instead of a hub because hub is not a good option for internet sharing now a days. A switch is more intelligent then a hub and so you should get a better speed.

Uhh, what? Sorry i am so noob in this! No i am not sharing connection, if i do i really want to know where can i see that, i am using vista home basic btw. And i am so mad, and if someone is using my connection, i will kill him with club.Please tell, what u mean about hub, PowerDsine?

You should know that, incase if you want to join a foreign server to play games then you need to have more than 256 kbps speed, something to 1mbps connection, because you are tend to get latency difference and issues. However, if you join some local based servers then you will get good pings. It is not the game but the low end connection that you are using.

No no no. And yes local too. From my country server wich are supposed to be 12 ping like in old times with same net connection, now is 30>32>30>34>50>60>70>100>120 then it get down back. I am so mad, should i do direct connection, from antena outside my house to pc?

All computers which slows downs on game while playing is due to high ping. The high ping can be cause due to various reason. Like you are very far from server or if there is virus in your system. When you connect online those malware or spyware are connected and they eats your bandwidth. It is also possible that some security application on your system is blocking the outgoing. Scan for virus and after that disable your antivirus program and check back.

Antivirus?I am not good with those malware stuff, i got anti malware, and avast registered, so, what you mean send spyware?

It might be a issue with the game server itself, you can never guess. Have you tried disabling your antivirus system, also if you have any firewall installed then disable that as well, and then connect to the halo server. Did you lately install any software that utilizes too much internet bandwidth, try to close all programs in task manager and try connecting the server, let us know about your details.

Alright, i got xfire, but xfire probably not making any problems, on halo servers sometimes all servers are with ping 200+ sometimes not, but for me, all is same, wth?I only got windows firewall.Tried dissabling this stuff, no luck.

I am facing certain issue related to ping in my system also. Now there are lots of reason I found behind this. First if you are using pirated game then there is a issue of high ping as game servers does not allow you to enter. Second thing due to a spyware which is a virus in your pc engages your open port creating high pings.
