    KIS 2009 found "Pe_patch.stolen" in wlanapi.dll

I am running KIS 2009 on Windows Vista computer. While I was working on my Office documents, I got a message that the KIS has detected something called as "PE_Patch.stolen" inside "wlanapi.dll" in Windows system32 folder. It reports that this could be some kind of malware but does nothing with that file. I manually removed all of those and shut off my computer and went out. But when I returned and rebooted my computer, I could not get beyond POST. Even Startup Repair could not fix this problem. Can anyone here provide me a fruitful solution how to get rid of this situation?

HijackThis is a freeware enumerating tool that scans your computer and displays what entries are there. Download Trend Micro HijackThis tool and install it. Open HijackThis by clicking Start > Program Files > HijackThis and click the button labeled "Do a system scan only". Once the scan is complete, the scan button will read "Save log" allowing you to dave the log that is generated. Kindly post this log file in an attachment.

I think that is some serious virus, most probably a Trojan, that has affected the system boot files and you by mistakenly removed it unsafely which caused the system files corrupted. So in my opinion use Windows CD and repair your Windows operating system. Once completed, use MalwareBytes and scan your computer. This will detect and ask you to remove all the infections from your computer.

Download and install AVZ Antiviral Toolkit on to your desktop. Allow it to update automatically. Now go to "File", "Standard scripts " and select "Advanced System Analysis with malware removal mode enabled" check box. Continue scanning and healing procedure by clicking on "Execute selected scripts" button. Once it is completed you will be asked to restart the computer. This should solve your problem.
