Internet Security 2010 - IS2010.exe

I have recently upgraded my computer from Windows XP to Windows 7 from an iso file downloaded from Internet but since then Internet Security 2010 (IS2010.exe) has been attached to my computer. Every time I get a message saying my system is infected. I am thinking of to move to some other operating system available freely on net like ubuntu, fedora etc but I thought to explain you all my problem and get some suggestions from here. What do you think, what should I do? Is it possible to fix this Internet Security 2010 (IS2010.exe) problem?

Internet Security 2010 is a fake antivirus program. It is similar to Advanced Virus Remover malware. The GUI of both the program looks almost same. This application can be considered as a kind of Trojan. It comes from the manual installation of softwares. It sometime even displays a lot of fake error messages to mislead audience to buy or download software from its developers.

IS2010 is definitely some kind of malware/adware/spyware and should be removed as soon as it is detected using a good antivirus or antispyware software. I would recommend MalwareBytes as the best malware removal but you can even use some of the best antivirus software like Nortan, AVG, McAfee etc.

I have tried innumerable virus removal software to get rid of this but didn't got the solution. At last I came to the conclusion that the virus has affected my registry and I need to have to remove it from there manually. Simply go to Windows Registry and look for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run | Internet Security 2010". Right click on it and select Delete. Once done you may be asked to restart the computer for changes to take effect. Kindly do the needful.

IS2010.exe is just a falsepositive. It is neither residing scanning your computer for any kind of malware nor its result is related to your system. It simply displays a junk messages to the user, basically a kind of adware. You either remove it with a normal scan using your antivirus program or doing a system restore to a stage before this fake program actually occurred.

I just want to add some points to what already has been said over here. In my honest opinion never download any software from a warez site unless and until you trust the source of the originator because most of the time it has been seen that they are completely junk and could cause such kind of issues in the near future.
