My anti virus software have found couple of viruses on my hotmail's inbox. I have tried removing t but it is just not happening. Can anybody help me to do the same. Virus informations are as follows. I am using windows xp operating system and have installed avast anti virus on it.

I do not think that there is any need to remove those mails which has been infected by the Phishing virus as it just can not harm your computer. You need to go to the bogus web site where you should enter some data about your computer then only it can affect your computer. But if you do not go the web site then there is no way that this infected mail can harm your computer. Actually Phishing is usually an email that tricks a user to submit his/her personal details into a bogus webpage.

Although there is no need to remove this kind of mails from your inbox if you have any kind of important data in it but still if you delete by using any security software then it will be deleting the whole Email by doing which you will lost your mail information. I think you should take down the information given in the email manually so that you can remove that mail from your inbox. Or else you remove it directly without having any backup of it.

I was having the same kind of mail in my inbox so i just removed it from my mailbox and sent one mail to the sender of an infected mail that those mail was infected by the Phishing virus and told him to send those mails again but without infection an he did that. Even i have the information of those mails and there is not infection as well. You may use this trick if you do not want to loose any information of your mail.
