    Wireless Adapter No Longer Exists

    Hi all,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A500 running Windows 7. I find that under the device manager, the only Network Adapter shown now is the "Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller." So I can only access the internet via an ethernet cable. I am not able to find the Wireless Adapter drivers on it. I also try to install mother board DVD but not succeed. Please help. Thanks in advance.

In the "Wireless Network" tab, you can view and set the options. Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings:When you want WZC service automatically when you configure the wireless settings options, select the check box. If you want to use third-party wireless software products, clear the check box. This option is enabled by default. All the best.

You need to check within the scope of the wireless adapter in the wireless network list. To view or modify a particular wireless network configuration information and add it to the preferred network list, click the "Configure" button. For mandatory wireless adapter in the detection range of the wireless network to launch a new scan, click the "refresh." All the best.

For more information on independent of wireless network you are connected to the advanced options to configure the wireless settings, click the "Advanced" button. You can set these advanced options to specify whether you want the entire infrastructure or a specific wireless network connection, whether you want automatic and not in the list of wireless networks first attempt to connect. (By using the "Automatically connect to non preferred networks" option means to achieve the set, this option is disabled by default. Check and reply.

You can use the "service" management unit (in the "Administrative Tools" in) to view the WZC service (the name for the wireless zero configuration) of the current state, or its implementation to stop, start or restart operation. Also, you can also order from the command line mode on the Net WZC service to manage. For example, the additional stop the WZC service, in the command line, enter net stop "Wireless Zero Configuration". All the best.
