    Fiber Optic Connector

    Hi all,

Fiber Optic Connector, commonly known as the living joint, also known as fiber optic connectors, is used to connect two optical fiber or cable to form a continuous path that can re-use of passive devices, has been widely used in optical fiber transmission lines, fiber optic patch panel and fiber-optic test equipment, instrument in, is the largest number of optical passive devices currently in use. Can anybody have any idea about how many Connector are used in fiber optic connection apart from that. Please suggest.

    Fiber Optic Connector

The main use of fiber optic connector is used to achieve fiber continuation. It is now widely used in optical fiber communication system in the fiber optic connector, its many species of different structures. However, careful study, various types of fiber optic connectors are the same basic structure, namely, the vast majority of fiber optic connectors generally use high-precision components (two pins and a coupling tube a total of three parts) Fiber-alignment connection. Check and reply.

This method is the optical fixed in the pin, the pin will be polishing the surface after treatment to achieve alignment in the coupling tube. Pin external components of metal or non-metallic materials. The other side usually curved elements to support restrictions on the soft fiber or fiber cable to release the stress. Coupling pipe is generally composed of ceramic or bronze and other materials made of two semi-synthetic, and fastening the cylinder-shaped structures made of multi - metal or plastic with a flange in order to facilitate the installation of the fixed connector. Precise optical alignment as far as possible on the pin and coupling tube machining accuracy demanding. All the best.

The performance of fiber optic connector, first optical performance, in addition to consider the interchangeability of fiber optic connector, repeatability, tensile strength, temperature and frequency plug. For the fiber optical connector performance requirements, mainly insertion loss and return loss of these two basic parameters. Insertion loss that the connection loss is defined as a result of the connector into the link caused by the effective optical power loss. The smaller the better insertion loss, the general requirements should be not more than 0.5dB. All the best.

    Fiber Optic Connector

With the continuous development of optical fiber communication technology, especially in the development of high-speed LAN and optical access network, fiber optic connectors in the fiber system will be more widely applied. At the same time, also raises more fiber optic connector and higher demands, the main direction of development is this: look smaller, low-cost-oriented, while performance requirements are getting higher and higher. In the next period of time, a variety of newly developed optical fiber connector will work with the traditional FC, SC connectors, etc., together with the formation of "all significant strengths each have to use" pattern. All the best.
