    Solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP

I want you guys to help me with the solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP. The Escan antivirus has detected this infection in my system and the issue is that I am not able to get rid of the same with the help of this antivirus. I am not able to understand why, since if an antivirus can detect an infection, it must also be able to delete it too. I am using Windows Vista operating system and my browser is Opera 10.

    Re: Solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP

The solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP is to get rid of it manually. Have a look at the following files:
    1. AntivirusPro_2010.exe
    2. AVEngn.dll
    3. Install[1].exe
    4. wscui.cpl
    5. scui.cpl

You will have to find the same in your system. When you find them, kill their processes first by staring the task manager. then, delete them permanently from the computer.

    Re: Solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP

I am not quite sure that the manual removal method can help you for the solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP because this particular infection is a trojan horse. It is the property of a trojan, that its files cannot be found out by the normal means of detection. Also, their files seem to be genuine from outside. So, when you will check out the same, you will feel that they are normal files of the system. So, I advice that you must format the computer as soon as possible.

    Re: Solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP

The best solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP is to use the boot scan method. Since, formatting can remove all the installed components from the system, I suppose that you must look for a better way, that is installing Avast antivirus and using the boot scan method. Thus, the scan will start before the operating starts because of which the infections can be removed with ease, as they are not able to execute at this time.

I suppose that the Spyware Doctor can help you for the solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP because it is an anti-spyware. Such security components can stay in the background of the system and check out for all the malicious activities that are going on within the system. This is very useful because any application or program that is causing a problematic activity for the system will be eradicated completely.

    Re: Solution to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP

I recommend you to use the system restore method to delete Win32:Zbot-MAP. It is better than formatting because formatting removes the operating system itself. But, system restore just gets rid of all the installed components from the computer along with the infections. For this, the computer must be started in the safe mode and the system restore must be done to the factory settings.
