    Solution to remove FakeAlert-IB

I am using Windows Vista operating system and my browser is Opera 10. I require a solution to remove FakeAlert-IB because this infection had entered in my system and the Escan antivirus has detected the same. I have seen that if the antivirus has detected any infection, then it can also get rid of the same. But, Escan is not allowing to delete it. So, I want the suitable solutions.

Search for the following file on the system:
    • %USERPROFILE%\local settings\temp\9f5ad9efd0bab0ae.exe

Also, search for the following registry entries:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\security center\
    • antivirusdisablenotify = 1
    • firewalldisablenotify = 1
    • updatesdisablenotify = 1
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\pc_antispyware2010\
    • info = 11/13/2008

This solution to remove FakeAlert-IB is also called as the manual removal of the infection because the above files and registry entries have to be eradicated manually.

Hello there, I will suggest you to format the computer as a solution to remove FakeAlert-IB. Also remember that you should install a new copy of the operating system that you are using, since repairing the old system will cause the infections to persist in the computer, that can also result in a system crash. So, formatting the computer will solve the issue.

The solution to remove FakeAlert-IB, that I suggest to you is the installation of an anti-malware, that can stay in the background of the system. Thus, it will be able to check for all the malicious activities that are going on within the system. So, the applications and programs that are causing such problems can be deleted from the computer easily. Spyware Doctor is a recommended anti-malware.

    Re: Solution to remove FakeAlert-IB

Safe mode scanning can help as a solution to remove FakeAlert-IB because the infections cannot execute in this mode. Just make sure that the database of the antivirus is well updated, so that signatures of all the new infections will also be added into it. The infections will be inactive in the safe mode because of which the antivirus will be able to delete the infections very easily.
