    Preparing Test environment

    Test environment

The antispyware software are tested on a system with a fresh installation of Windows XP Professional SP2, within the installation of all Windows Updates.

The antispyware applications test are conducted using the newest versions available with the up-to-date definitions installed. There should not be any other spyware applications installed on the system means the antivirus software.

The testing of the antispyware application is divided into different segments on the same system and each one is performed at a single point of time with the system's hard disk image reset to the same "clean" image before the antispyware application is installed.

    Real-time and Disinfect mode testing

    Real-time and Disinfect mode testing

first of all, just install the antispyware application and update it with the current updates available and apply on this and one thing more, you need to enable the real-time protection feature as on.

Then the testing starts after installation of the spyware onto the system and find out how fast the antispyware application is able to detect the security threads and makes disable the installation of the spyware and deleting the spyware from the system.
