Deleting Adware.Virtumonde.GFH

I am using the acer aspire laptop installed with the windows 7 operating system. Now it appears as it is been infected with the Adware.Virtumonde.GFH virus and i tried to remove it using the Avast antivirus trial version but could not remove it. Please help me in deleting Adware.Virtumonde.GFH virus.

It appears as the virus definition of the antivirus program which you have installed on your system has not been updated yet. So i would suggest you to either upgrade the virus definition of the antivirus program whivh you are using or you can also try to install a new antivirus program. Either of these should help you.

If your antivirus is not capable of deleting the virus on your system then it must be due to the non upgradation of the virus definition after updating it try again and if this does not work too. Then try to scan the system in the safe mode so that it detects and deletes the Adware.Virtumonde.GFH virus and deletes it.

Thanks a lot for replying me i would like to inform you both that the ideas which you two suggested above does not seemed to work so i think that you need to suggest a different idea in order to get rid of this threat i would also it would be better if you can suggest me an effective antivirus to delete this threat.

I think you must use the Microsoft Security Essential on your system in order to remove the virus which you have mentioned above. It is also available freely over the internet and i would recommend this since it is developed by the Micorsoft corporation it would definitely help you if you are using windows 7.
