As you are using the Windows Home Server there is already an image exist in the Windows Home Server directory. This will allow to create the restore on your PC as the file is there with the name of the restorecd.msi click on that and choose the destination folder in computer where you want to create the Restore point. So that you can restore the Network computer.

You can create the image of the Windows Home server on the Disc from the Windows 7 so that you can use this when you need to restore the network,. This can be possible with the Windows 7 disk burning utility. All you have to do is just open the ISO file which is created in the My Document folder. right click on that and select the Burn Disc Image and you will be guide for the creation of the Image.

I am not getting the reason behind why you are not getting the restorecd.msi to your computer. But no issue if you are unable to find the same in Windows Home Server then you have to download the same from the Microsoft. To Download the same click here or go to the link given below
    restorecd.msi

Re: How to create Windows Home Server restore disc?

You can now use Windows Home Server to restore your home computer system’s content, including all original settings, files, and folders.
Note: Your home computer must be connected to the home network with an Ethernet network cable before you begin the restore. In most cases, you cannot use a wireless connection.

    1. Place the Home Computer Restore CD in the optical drive of the home computer you want to restore. You have the option to restore one or more hard drive volumes.
    2. Restart the computer, boot from the CD, and follow the instructions in the Restore Computer Wizard to restore the hard drives on your home computer.
    3. The wizard may prompt you to insert your USB flash drive with your copied home computer drivers. If so, connect your USB flash drive and continue.

Your original content is now restored on your home computer. Remember to back up your computer content volume whenever you update your system, so you never lose your old computer.
