WPS is a Wi-Fi Protected Setup that is a stand for the security on your laptop with the used of a Wi-Fi router. These type of technology simplifies for the user but other whole go through to secure the a Wi-Fi network. As well as that type of technology basically depends upon the type of the laptop ,its inter rial peripheral and most important thing which is it totally depend upon the operating system which used on the system. Ensure that WPS is a such type of technology which is a controlled by Wi-Fi Alliance. WPS has been integrated and supported in Windows Vista operating system because currently now days this only operating system has been worked in Registrar mode.

Wi-Fi Protected Setup,we can also called it as WPS which mostly work with windows vista operating system. These type of technology which can use easily rather than the schemes that preceded it. When Wi-Fi Protected Setup run on the system,it is a process for setting up WPA2 without thinking much about that.Wi-Fi Protected Setup can automatically set up the random network name like SID and WPA wireless security for the laptop, Wi-Fi phones, wireless routers, access points. As well as You do not need to know the network name and security keys to use WPS to join a wireless network.

Basically the WPS product are depend upon the laptop and operating system which used in the system as well as WPS also optional for the Wi-Fi Certified products. So firstly check that Wi-Fi Protected Setup logo or terms on products to see if that the product is WPS compatible. Because some part of your setup won't be compatible with that. Make sure that most security keys or pass phrase are randomly generated that's why no one can guess that as well as WPS also use such type of EAP means Extensible Authentication Protocol so using of that type of protocol its secure the wi-fi routing which is a strong authentication protocol used in WPA2. But again there are some disadvantage like these type of technology is newer so not all wireless equipment supports WPS.

WPS is support to the wi-fi networking which is not a security features but it's a maker of the security features easy to configure. You can used the WPS by the push buttons or PINS instead of SSID and wireless security because WPS can automatically set up a SSID so when you entry to set up the use some push button like the WPS button is either on the product or a click able button on a wizard or utility screen. As well as the PIN is entered for either the router or access point, or for the wireless device that wants to join the network.
