I want to remove W32.Ramnit!html from my hard disc

    Hello all,

I was using Internet yesterday and was searching for the latest MP3 songs but by mistake I have downloaded a W32.Ramnit!html virus in my system. Now my computer system and everything is a mess and there are also some pop-ups forcing me for shopping, downloading MP3, showing adult content, etc. The resources of my system is also taken too much and it is making my computer very slow. So, if there is anyone who can tell me how to remove this virus then please help me out. Thanks

W32.Ramnit!html is a program which comes bundled with free applications such as KaZaA and Webshots. It is installed by file sharing programs normally used to illegally upload/download music and all, so this must be a malware. It does not spy on your computer though. It offers your system to recognize illegal top-level domain names registered with the industry like adult content, free .mp3, shopping, etc. This file known as newdotnetn_nn.dll is installed at startup system via the Run key. Try to delete it and eveything will be fixed.

I think that your system is actually compromised and it is infected with a very nasty variant of Virus, which could be a dangerous polymorphic file infector with IRCBot functionality which infects .exe files, .scr files, and also opens a back door which compromises your computer. While using this backdoor a remote hacker can access and instruct the infected computer to download and execute more malware files. You can use Malwarebytes Antimalware software to get rid of this nasty from your computer.

You can also use a software called AdwCleaner which is a free tool to effectively remove unwanted software. The majority of malware installed without your knowledge and not detected by your usual antivirus will be removed from your Windows PC quite easily. AdwCleaner is very easy to use because you only need to run a scan to detect and remove reluctant toolbar, adware (advertising program), PUP/LPI, hijacker or deceptive software start page (default page of your unwanted browser).
