Hello everyone, I am using Windows XP Service Pack 3 and my browser is Opera 10. I need a method to delete Win32.TRCrypt.Fkm from my system. I am using Avira antivirus, but it is not capable of deleting the infection. But, I get alerts of this infection on my system frequently when I am using the internet. This infection has been prevailing in my system for the past couple of weeks as I do not know how to avoid them from entering the system. What is the destruction that they do in the system? Please reply with suitable suggestions.

    Win32.TRCrypt.Fkm is a trojan horse

Win32.TRCrypt.Fkm is a trojan horse and to avoid them to from entering the system, you will have enable the firewall in the system. Actually, once they have entered into the system, firewalls are of no use. They can only help if the infection is trying to enter into the system, since they check for each bit of infection entering into the system. The method to delete Win32.TRCrypt.Fkm is to format the computer as you have kept the infection in the system for a long time and till now, it must have caused problems in a lot of programs in the system. This is the reason why you will have to ultimately format the computer.

    Use a spyware

Use a spyware as the method to delete Win32.TRCrypt.Fkm, since it is a trojan. A normal antivirus wont delete such types of trojans, since they seem to be legitimate programs from outside. Internally, they work as a very destructive weapon to harm the system, thus stealing a lot of personal and important data. Spywares, when installed in the system, remain in the background and keep a check on the malicious activities going on within the system. So, when it finds the malicious activities, it eradicates the program that is responsible for those activities. This is the only method that can probably solve your problem.

    Install Avast antivirus

I guess that the method to delete Win32.TRCrypt.Fkm install Avast antivirus and thus, enabling a boot scan. Mere scanning of the system cant remove such types of infections as they seem to be genuine from outside and most of the times they remain hidden in the system. But, by enabling a boot scan, the infections are not able to execute as the scan takes place before the operating system starts because of which the infections remain inactive in the system. Thus, the antivirus finds them easily and deletes them from the system. This is the best way one can use to delete all types of infections from the system.

You can get this feature of scheduled scan in AVG antivirus, which a recommended antivirus by many of the experts. By scheduled scanning the computer, there will a scan that will be running everyday at a particular time, so that the user does not have to start it manually everyday. Thus, the antivirus will keep a daily check if there are any infections in the system. So, this regular scanning can be helpful to remove infections if they ever enter into the system. A safe mode scanning may help as the method to delete Win32.TRCrypt.Fkm nad such other infections from the system. For this, you will have to select the safe mode option when you start the computer.
