How to remove W32Sdbot.worm!fn virus from my personal computer?

I use internet regularly and also like to download frequently. My all work is going smoothly till I have downloaded software from an unknown website. I think my computer is infected by some virus or worm named as “W32/Sdbot.worm!fn”, because after every five minutes my AVG virus scan gives me a message like “W32/Sdbot.worm!fn detected”. My next step is to delete it but when I again restart the personal computer AVG gives me the same message again.

W32Sdbot.worm!fn which is detected on your personal computer is an internet relay chat (IRC) controlled backdoor. This gives unauthorized access of your computer to an attacker, means your personal computer security is compromised. With the help of this backdoor an attacker can get control over your personal computer which can be used for installing malware programs.
