How to remove Win32.Mydoom.B@mm from my system?

I have bought a new assemble personal computer last week. My system has this configurations:
Operating System: Windows vista.
Hard disk: SATA 500 GB Hard disk.
Processor: Intal Core 2 Duo
Graphic card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 (512 MB).
Memory: 2 giga bytes of random access memory (RAM).
I have hardly used my system for a week and my antivirus software is detecting Win32.Mydoom.B@mm worm which I am unable to delete. I think this worm is making my system slow. Can anybody help me with this problem?
