Basic Tips on Networking in Windows

I am newbie in Networking. I am a bit familiar about peer to peer networking in Windows. That simply means connecting one computer to other and transferring files. I don't want advance information on it but a basic information on it. Like what are the types of network and how does they work. What is the basic requirement and other needed things.

I am going to give you some of the basic tips on the networking in windows. As you all know that there are two types of computer networking. they are client server and peep to peep. In this server the computer play a main role of the server. where the files and the data are kept in the web pages, where the documents, video, and data base are kept.

As the first computer in the server act as a server. The other computer in the networks are called as clients. And they all get the data from the server. And in the peep to peep networks all the computer plays the same role and on computer act as a main server. For the business purpose in all around the world the client server networks is in large use.

The topology of the network is said as a structure or the layout of a network. In this way their are different type of topology which are bus, star, hybrid etc. The star topology is the most generally used topology. In this topology all the computer are connected to the network with the main device. It makes a star like structure. If one computer stops then all the computer halted.

As you know that the computer use the general communication language and the communication devices which is known as protocols. It is most commonly used in the internet. The network which we use in our home is called TCP/IP. It is not a single but it is a suite of several protocols. The network can be of both wire and wireless this works in both.

The computer network can be partition into Network, Personal Area Network, etc. There are also many several communication methods. The network is also have different types of on the server.
