    Windows XP infected with Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a

While working on the internet recently, I got an alert for Windows XP infected with Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a from Norton antivirus. I have not heard about this virus before and I am unfamiliar about the infection that it does in the system. Is there any possibility of that the virus must have entered from the internet? I need someone to help me with some remedies to remove it from the system.

If Windows XP is infected with Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a, then you should be aware that it is a memory-resident virus and it is not that dangerous. When it enters any system, it searches for the COM files and it appends itself at the beginning of the file. Simply scan the entire system along with all the hard drives and flash drives in safe mode. This will eradicate the infection from the system.

The name itself tells that Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a when entered into the system corrupts many of the system files in your computer. So, many of the programs that were previously working well may not work after this virus infection took place. So, ultimately after a period of time your system may be in a terrible condition with errors in almost all the programs running in the system. So, formatting is the only method that will help you eradicate Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a

There is a possibility that Windows XP may be infected with Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a when you may have clicked some unknown content on the internet. That is how such infections enter into the system. You must avoid clicking on such links from unknown resources. Otherwise you will find your system with a variety of viruses. To get rid of this, enable a system restore before a time when you got an alert about this infection.

The removal method of Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a is a typical one. This method is called as BOOT SCAN. If Windows XP is infected with Corrupted.Zerobug.1536.a, then use this method. Boot scan, as the name suggests is a scan enabled before the booting of Windows or its startup. At such time, the virus is inactive as it cannot execute before Windows can load. So, this is the best time an antivirus can easily eradicate such infections fro the system. I suggest you to use Quick Heal antivirus that has this feature of boot scan built-in with it. Boot scan is not provided by all the antiviruses.
