Process services.exe consumes 100% CPU utilization

Since few weeks now my computer use has become really boring simply because everything is slow and some apps can not even start. I also noticed that in the task manager the process "services.exe" is any time between 90 and 100% CPU utilization. I think I nabbed a virus but nothing Kaspersky detected after a lengthy analysis. I came to ask your help!

Do you have Malwarebytes Antimalware or tried it? Also remember that you have to update and do a full scan of your computer! Other than that I do not really believe that your problem is slow due to infection. Maybe you should remove some applications that you do not use. Otherwise, cleaning your Windows installation with Ccleaner should do the trick.

Re: Process services.exe consumes 100% CPU utilization

As I wrote in my first message, the problem is that the process "services.exe" is always between 90 and 100%. Also it happened always, so it surprises me that this is because of the large number of apps. Finally, the first thing I did when I had this problem is cleaned with Ccleaner, but the same problem persists.

For Malwarebyte AntiMalware, I had installed 3 days ago and I managed to do an analysis in safe mode (which lasted quite some time without finding something special) but it does not open and updates fail to do either.

If MBAM doesn't detect the problem and abolishes the items he has found, restart your computer and perform a scan with check disk:

    • Click Start -> Run and typing cmd in, then press Enter to open a command window
    • In the black window, type "chkdsk / F" and press Enter to confirm. Type then O then Enter to confirm still, and then Exit to exit. Otherwise close the window directly.
    • Restart the computer and be patient during the scanning of the hard drive that will start after the Windows logo at startup. If it finds errors on the disc, it will correct.
