How to remove network worm

Hello friends,

I am using Windows XP as my operating system and everything was working fine, but today when i try to have LAN sharing over there i was not able to share folders on my computer, after finding a lot i came to know that my computer is being infected with network worm. I try to run Kaspersky anti virus but it was not able to remove network worm from my LAN and computer too. Can anyone tell me how to remove network worm from my computer.

Normally network worm is a program which copy files to other computers connected to same LAN which will share your drive or it might happen that everyone can access your local drive with specific access rights. If you want to overcome from this virus then you need to take a network down and to disinfect all infected computers one by one.
