Is ±±±±±±±±.±±± some kind of a virus??

My pen drive is having a serious problem. I have a 32 GB transcend pen drive which was working well for a year. Now, when I insert it, the pen drive is showing thousands of junk folders having the name ±±±±±±±±.±±±
I do not know what is this ±±±±±±±±.±±±
I think some kind of virus is causing it. The first folder is the proper folder with my files whereas the rest are junk folders. I tried to format the pen drive, but its no use. The folders dont go at all.

I was encountered with the same problem a couple of months ago. I was confused at seeing this ±±±±±±±±.±±± and did not know what it was. Actually it is a type of exe file. If you double-click the junk/exe folder, it will spread in the entire computer. Antivirus cannot detect this virus. The only solution is that you have to manually select the junk folders and delete it. Take precaution that you do not double-click the junk folder.

Do have have an antivirus installed in your computer?? You have not mentioned of scanning your pen drive anywhere. I think that this ±±±±±±±±.±±± virus has come must have come from any download or must have come from an external system where you inserted your pendrive.
Try installing AVG antivirus from the link below and scan your pendrive. Hopefully this will remove the unwanted folders/virus.

I think that your computer is infected with this ±±±±±±±±.±±± virus. I had faced the same problem. This virus gets into the C drive, executes when you insert the pen drive and gets into it. If you do not remove the virus it will keep on duplicating and your computer may become slow. I recommend you to use Quick Heal antivirus which allows you do a boot scan and thus, can remove this virus before windows startup. If the problem still persists, You need to format your computer and install a new copy of windows.
