virus, spyware?

i am freaking out here! i do not know what is going on with my computer! i play pet society on facebook and you can do surveys or install software to earn free coins etc so i did ( i have a few times with no prolems) all of a sudden my IE wouldn't work, it was late i went to bed, wake up this morning open IE took forever to open once it opens a page pops up (one i never heard of before) don't remember the name! sorry...anyways now my antivirus is going crazy. i can't run my antivirus at all it says it may not in installed correctly, then a window pops up and says real time protection has been disabled! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME ...........
i have windows xp pro
symantec antivirus
