A big focus for Wi-Fi leaders these days is on construction equipment that supports high-speed network applications on the outside. For example, there are companies that wish to expand their wireless LANs outdoors. All of these applications could benefit from 802.11n 's throughput of 150Mbps +, and the formal ratification of Standard, 11 last month opened floodgates. The the company also makes Meraki Solar Wi-Fi enhanced b / g device mesh, and we can only hope it supports 802.11n one days, too. This is very convenient about Meraki Solar is that it avoids the problem of feeding the PA in out-of-the-way places where it is difficult to run power lines. The access points mounted on roofs, walls, poles or other surfaces and to themselves through sun exposure.

Motorola AP-4899 $ 7181, also by ship in December, aims mainly at municipality and existing customers Moto public safety fantasy running wireless automatic meter reading, the intelligent traffic monitoring, video surveillance wireless applications in the vehicle.
For its part, Trapeze Networks sees his $ 3,995 MP-632 as used for the expansion of the business, academic and government networks to the outside. It can operate in AP or bridge mode, the company said.
Both companies responded to the specialized needs of the antenna: Motorola uses dual polarization directional antennas to cover greater distances and increase the speed at close range, and Trapeze offers four different antenna kits to match demand - Omni kits contain two types of directional and Yagi antennas, respectively.
