What application is associated to MSTRE22.EXE

    Hi,
When my system freezes sometime I use Task Manager to stop most memory consuming service. In the process list of Task Manager I found a suspicious service MSTRE22.exe running in the background and eating some a desirable amount of memory. I killed the process but it appear back again. Does this service is related to any important windows application. This run even when I does not run any software on the screen. Recently I had downloaded and installed VLC player. So I think it might related to it. But not sure. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks.

It is a spyware application. It is recommended that you should remove it safely from your system. The file normally is located in the windows directory. You might not be able to delete it. You will have to restart your computer under safe mode. Then launch a search process for the files and remove it completely.

It is a work virus. The virus enters you computer via internet. The virus is also called as google redirect worm. Once downloaded it is located in the Windows directory of your primary partition. The risk level of this virus is low. But still you have to remove it. To get rid of this tool you will have to install a antispyware tool. That can be spyware hunter or spyware doctor.

The worm is a infection caused due to unsafe browsing. The files created by the virus on execution normally lies in the Windows directory. Click on the C drive and go in Windows directory. Delete this files from here, mstre22.exe, dxxdv34567.bat and msmark2.dat. Second thing also remove 3.reg and DXXDV3~1.BAT files from your system if found.
