    PODMENA.EXE detected in my computer

    Hi,
I had detected PODMENA.EXE virus in my computer. My friend told me that it is a trojan virus. But how does it enter in my system. I am not connected to any network nor I have used external drives. I have a dial up internet connection. Now how to get rid of this virus. I does not have any Windows disc to format my computer also. Thanks.

The security threat caused by this virus is high. That means you must try out alternatives to remove this virus out of your system. The virus is a self replicate type. That means once launched in your system is creates its own copy and infect your system. The virus is caused by advertisement pop ups. Run a search process for the similar name and delete all those files which you found.

Click on Start > Run > type Regedit. Click on OK. In the registry editor windows navigate to the following path - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SvcHost podmena = "podmena". Here you can see the value generated by the virus. Delete it. In the same way go to below paths and delete them - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\podmena\Parameters]ServiceDll = "%ProgramFiles%\podmena\podmena.dll"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\podmena drv]ImagePath = "\??\%ProgramFiles%\podmena\podmena.sys"

Download install Malware byte. It is the best antivirus for this. Before here are some steps by which you can manually delete those files. First open My Computer. Press Ctrl + F from the keyboard. On the left side search for podmena.dll. Delete the files. In the same way delete podmena.bat,
podmena.sys and podmena.dll files. Remove this files from your system.
