How to remove troj_generic.dit virus ?

I used to run my Antivirus program once a week to check any unwanted virus or malicious attack. Just yeaterday, when I was running my Antivirus and scanning my hard-drive, it showed me that I have a "TROJ_Generic.DIT" virus. Can anybody please give some information and details about this virus ? how dangerous it is ?

How to remove troj_generic.dit virus ? please suggest some solutions....

Troj_Generic.DIT is a trojan program that is designed to install malware and perform various malicious actions on the compromised computer system.

DIT infects computer systems via corrupt pornographic content images and movie downloads, annoying e-mails and AciveX updates. Once Generic.DIT trojan horse is inside a system, it will install Dll and Exe payloads and download additional malware threats onto the infected system. It is extremely dangerous. I would suggest that you quickly remove this trojan virus with some powerful anti-malware software.

Following are some of the symptoms caused by Troj_generic.DIT

Slower Windows startup, shutdown and general performance issues
Loss of dll's, registry keys and Windows files causing "Blue Screen Of Death" screen
Generic.DIT re-generates itself after manual removal, particularly difficult to eliminate

Run latest remover utility to find out you are affected. Remove Troj_Generic.DIT and clean all related infections...

I would suggest you to check KeyScrambler files because I think some of your KeyScrambler files may have become infected.
Try uploading the file suspected of containing the trojan to http://www.virustotal.com/ - This site will scan the file with numerous reputable anti-malware programs. If it comes back as only being detected by a small percentage of the programs, you can safely assume it is a false positive, and if not, it may well be infected with a trojan.
